Man on The Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Ranger

Kid Cudi, one of Good Music’s artist plans to debut his second solo album on November 9, 2010 named Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Ranger. The album was formerly known as Cudder: The Revolution of Evolution, before being renamed by Cudi and Good Music. According to Datpiff.com, one of the most famous online hip-hop mixtape websites, Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Ranger is going to be one of the most highly anticipated albums of the decade. Kid Cudi embraces his own style or in other “swag” in the making of this album. Different from most rappers and hip-hop artist Cudi uses a more neo-psychedelic approach with a slower tempo, off beat bass, instrumental beats. The Genre of Kid Cudi music is: Alternative hip hop, alternative rock, neo-psychedelic, trip hop. What makes this album different from most artist albums is that Man on the Moon II is dark by nature. Cudi stated, “Man on the Moon II is dark by nature and instead of bringing you into my dreams like my first album, I’m bringing you into my reality, good and bad. It will explain more of who I am as well as pushing the envelope musically.” He also stated that he will discuss his former cocaine addiction on the album.  Produced by Plaid Pat, the first “promotional” single off Man on the Moon II is titled “REVOFEV,” which stands for Revolution of Evolution. REVOFEV was released through Kid Cudi’s website on June 17, 2010. After that came the release of the “official” single, titled “Erase Me” featuring Kanye West, debuted on the Cleveland radio station June 30, 2010. “Erase Me” was officially released digitally on iTunes on August 24, 2010; following the second single, “Mr. Ranger” that was then released October 25, 2010 digitally for download on iTunes. Another thing that makes Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Ranger so different then most albums is the placement of each track. The tracks are separated into 5 different acts. The first act titled, “The World I am Ruling,” features the two songs Scott Mescudi vs. the World and REVOFEV. Act two titled “A Stronger Trip” features songs, Don’t Play this song, We Aite, Marijuana, Mojo So Dope. Act 3 titled, “Party on” featuring songs, Ashin Kusher, Erase Me, Wild’n Cuz I’m Young, The Mood. Act 4 titled, “The Transformation,” features songs, MANIAC, Mr. Ranger, These Worries, The End. Act 5 titled, “You Live You Learn” features songs, All Along, GHOST, Trapped in My Mind. Being that it’s Kid Cudi’s second solo album, he doesn’t fall short in making sure that he meets all his fans needs and flows are still a work of kind, with a unique deliverance, Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Ranger might just be high on the hip hop charts for a long time. Kid Cudi and Good Music surely did do their job correctly in the making of this album.
