- “Stay Gold”, the newest professional skateboarding video to release on September 1st in your local skateshop is a must see. Emerica, one of the most well known skateboarding footwear and apparel, went on more than a 10 year journey in order to complete this video. From their last video “This is Skateboarding” that released around 2000 and the return of “Stay Gold,” they knew the wait was necessary to make one of the best skateboard video in history. The team Emerica has some of the most famous names in professional skateboarding today, and the amateur skaters are just as good as the pros. The line up for Stay Gold: Aaron Suski, Brandon Westgate, Braydon Szafranski, Bryan Herman, Chris Senn, Collin Provost, Ed Templeton, Heath Kirchart, Jamie TanCowny, Jerry Hsu, Justin Figueroa, Kevin Spanky Long, Leo Romero, Marquis Preston, and owener Andrew Reynolds. The team goes to hundreds of different skate spots all around the world, in and out hotels everyday, waking up at 9am to go film at a certain skate spot before security was on duty and forced them to leave. Stay Gold also helped put many new Emerica team riders out like Marquis Preston, Collin Provost, Justin Figueroa, and Jamie TanCowny. I highly recommend this video for the skateboards who like to watch those who take risk, life threatening risk! For example, Andrew Reynolds and his ridiculous variel-heelflip down Hollywood High School 15 stair or Leo Romero and his insanely high ollie up a 8 stair on to the handrail and grinding until he reached the top of the staircase. What I like most about the Emerica team and the video is that, everyone on the team is different in personality, race, and even their wardrobe selection and music type. On one end you have Brandon Westgate who is the cacasion guy who listens to rap music all the time and wears big shirts, baggy pants and Nikes. The other end you have Braydon Szafranski who is the typical punk rock guy with the tight black jeans and plays in a hometown punk rock band when he’s not on tour skateboarding with Emerica or his other sponsors. I support Emerica to the fullest, and this Video Stay Gold is just more evidence why they are one of the best skateboarding brands known today. Stop by your local skate shop and pick up a copy of this DVD or purchase it online, you wont regret it.
